| More time has passed than I care to admit since I lived at the base of Mont Sainte Victoire in Aix-en-Provence. My days were spent immersed in studying art and architecture at the Universite d'Aix-Marseilles but by nightfall my learning experience included the art of french cuisine from Monsieur Bonfort and my first introduction to the wines of France. Alas my trusty steed that year was a moped but I long to retrace my steps on the back of a horse!

The Lords of the Vineyards Tour travels along the Lot River in the Cahors Region in Southwest France. Riding from inn to inn through this famous wine region seeped in history while enjoying spectacular vistas of the valley laced with vineyards. Each day's ride includes a visit to a vineyard for wine tasting, sightseeing in this intriguing area and eating meals fit for a Lord.
This seven day trip is offered three times in 2010 from July 4th - 10th, August 22nd - 28th and October 3rd - 9th. This ride for intermediate riders is also perfect for non-riding companions. The cost is $3100 per person double occupancy with a $565 single supplement.

Riding the Vineyards and Beaches of Bordeaux from chateau to inn and from forest to the Atlantic guests have the opportunity to sample the fine wines of the region and sample the delights of rich heritage of the local cuisine. Cantering through this vast countryside and then stopping amidst the architectural wonders. Visiting such sites as the Citadelle de Bourg and the many historic and infamous chateaux such as Chateau Mouton Rothchild.
