Gateway 2 Ranch
Liz Mitten Ryan
Life Changing Workshop
Life changing workshop

Come experience Gateway 2 Ranch in British Columbia, Canada home to Liz Mitten Ryan, her husband and their herd of warmblood horses.  Born to this paradise, the horses are loved and treated as family.  Indeed, the animals of Gateway 2 Ranch have co-authored Liz’s four award winning books.  In the pristine grassland, lakes and forests of Gateway, the horses interact at liberty, sharing their gifts and teachings and intuitive connection.

Five exclusive week-long workshops this summer will offer individual attention to eight participants per session which can cause transformation in the way one lives.  Joining Liz and her horses in aiding the participants in finding truth and spiritual understanding in a symbiotic relationship with all animals and life is Dana Williams an “artist of change.”   Dana uses her intuitive healing gifts to teach an emotional and spiritual practice for daily living.  Billa De Vries will take you on an escorted journey to contact the Animal, Plant and Mineral Kingdoms to guide you to understand your inner reality and align you to awaken your innate wisdom to be in harmony with the earth.

Your stay at Gateway 2 Ranch in the magnificent beauty of British Columbia offers a retreat in a comfortable relaxed atmosphere giving guests the opportunity to connect with their surroundings free from many of life’s “essentials” – the ranch an hour from Kamloops has no radio, TV, internet connection or cell service.  Accommodations, alone or in pairs, offer participants the opportunity to enjoy amazing views while connecting with their natural surroundings.  Wall tents, the Spirit Lodge or the Spirit Quest Outposts are all available so that your stay is comfortable while having only a gentle impact on the surrounding environment.  Lodging is adjusted to allow each participant to grow and change along with their personal development.  Shower and bathroom out buildings are nearby.

Meals offer organic and fresh ingredients catering to a whole food natural and organic vegetarian approach with sprouted grain breads, wonderful salads but with fish, chicken and smoked salmon to balance the needs of all of the guests.  Organic wine, beer and cider at dinner combined with incredible desserts insure that all guests leave the table well satisfied.

Itinerary

Arrival Day:  After settling in guests can explore the 320 acre ranch, visit the Guest House for snacks and drinks, the Native Indian Spirit Lodge and meet the horses.  Dinner and Happy Hour (beer, cider and wine provided) will be from 6:00 to 8:00 at the Guest House.  After dinner the guests will meet in the Spirit Lodge for an orientation and the opportunity to meet the practitioners and other participants. Practitioners will introduce themselves and share their stories and participants will be invited to share theirs.  Participants will receive a personal journal and art supplies and be shown the different possibilities of journal keeping.

Day One:  After Breakfast in the Guest House (buffet style) we will meet at the Barn to outline the day’s activities.  Participants will meet the horses in the pasture and paddock around the barn with Liz and the practitioners, choosing or being chosen by their Spirit Horse guide or guides for the journey. We will take photographs to refer to later.  After lunch participants will investigate some of the special spiritual places around the property with the practitioners who will introduce them to new levels of appreciation for rocks, trees, vortices and the energies of the natural world. You will become aware of places that resonate with your energy and personal journey and make note of areas that you would like to revisit, taking photographs to refer to later.
Later in the afternoon Dana or Billa will offer exercises to discover our identity as spiritual beings, our guides or totems and pathway to our higher selves and tools to help in finding and connecting to higher energies and eliminating any blocks which are holding us back.  Participants can take photographs, explore the land, follow the herd or write in their journals or book a personal session with a practitioner. Happy hour and dinner is followed by a final meeting in the Spirit Lodge for stories and questions.

Day Two:
After breakfast in the Guest House participants can choose activities with the land or horses.  Visualization exercises and healing session on massage tables with the horses in the paddock will be offered.  Participants can also choose to interact with their horses in liberty exercises in the round pen and playground.  Meeting after lunch Billa will guide a land exercise. We will be creating our own individual Mandala or Sacred Circle to assist us in experiencing ourselves as whole beings. By placing objects gifted from the earth and/or creating patterns within this womblike structure we learn to comprehend and manage our rightful place within the rhythms of the universe finding balance and clarity.  The remainder of the afternoon allows time for private sessions with practitioners, journaling, following the herd, or visiting the land.
Happy hour and dinner is followed by guided visualization in the Spirit Lodge to connect with our guides whether horse, land or spirit. This is also a time to share stories and ask questions.

Days Three thru Six:  After breakfast in the Guest House participants will have private appointments with practitioners and horses.  In the afternoon there will be advanced land or horse sessions including some riding activities for those that are comfortable doing mounted work.  There will be continued private sessions with practitioners and the opportunity for journal work.
Happy hour and dinner will be followed by private sessions and group meetings in the Spirit Lodge.

The itinerary is designed to be flexible and creative depending on the needs and dynamic of each group of participants.
